Achievements

As part of EAC’s educational sector development, the company has initiated and developed eLearning platform, language toolkit, Schoolonair app, teachers lesson app and set up Centers for O’ level, A’ level examinations and international language proficiency tests like IELTS, TOEFL and other program relevant to capacitate teachers in teaching. Educational Advancement Centre, is one of the earliest developers of Mobile Learning, bringing E-learning to mobile phones which led to the founder and chairman of Educational Advancement Center winning a global award as number 9 in the world as Best Innovator. Not fully impressed with the attitude of students to e-learning, EAC kept on searching for friendly solutions and eventually stumbled on “video in learning”. EAC set up a studio and contracted RRSAT of Israel for Satellite broadcast via Amos 5 satellite to the African continent on the first of January 2013 as “Calvary Network”. She later moved to the more popular Intelsat 20 (My TV) which covered Africa better than Amos 5 as “Schoolonair TV”. The impact was tremendous for teachers, students, and parents.

Educational Advancement Center (EAC) has been a global and Nigerian educational powerhouse since 1996 which marks over 25 years of experience years of continuous experience in the education sector and related services.

The center has established itself as a leader in delivering impactful solutions to improve education quality and outcomes, aligned with the strategic vision of governments and development partners. Due to recorded achievements, EAC has opened subsidiary companies in Ghana, Liberia, Kenya and Rwanda

Educational Advancement Center’s deep expertise spans across various domains, including teacher and student’s capacity building, curriculum and instructional design, education technology, and monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL). The Center’s team of experts have a proven track record of successfully implementing large-scale, transformative education projects in diverse contexts, including countries in the East and West African region. EAC’s innovative, technology-enabled training expertise and solutions leverage immersive and interactive     approach to enhance students, teachers, listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities, ultimately improving the quality of instruction and student learning outcomes.

EAC conducted several years of assessment of students in examination classes which revealed a fundamental issue in quality of teaching. Driven by this revelation and a commitment to innovation, EAC delved into the realm of mobile learning, recognizing its potential to while the initial impact was limited, this pursuit paved the way for Mr. Muyiwa Bamgbose, the company’s Global CEO’s recognition as the 9th-ranked eLearning professional globally in 2012, showcasing EAC’s dedication to progress. Fueled by the desire to create a lasting impact, EAC established Schoolonair in 2013 where students access free lessons based on national curriculum via School-on-air.

Training
Educational Advancement Centre has been immersed in Training from inception in 1996 and have made distinct accomplishments in that track. For up to twenty years now, EAC has been in training and presenting professionals every month for various examinations with excellent scores. Hundreds of thousands of teachers and students have been trained under this program.
Speaking Assessment
EAC has adopted Speechace which is a tool for providing consistent autonomous assessment for the teachers. For teachers, Speaking, or Oracy is possibly the most important in influencing students in their learning process. The beauty in Speechace tools is the ability to access the performance of the individual students remotely in order to offer individualized solutions for each learner.
Certification
EAC is in partnership with certified bodies, like the Educational Testing Services of the US and the British Council, offering TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language, which is possibly the best-known English language proficiency certification, known all over the world and is the product of Education Testing services of the US. The test can be proctored in various fashions to accommodate candidates in remote areas.
Mother-Tongue in Learning
Understanding the difficulties faced by children of illiterate parents, EAC introduced "dual language" learning materials, offering English lessons interpreted into local languages. This initiative has been highly successful, improving comprehension among students. Currently, EAC provides translations in Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo, with ongoing projects in Kinyarwanda, Swahili, to serve students in Rwanda, East Africa, and Mali.
Sign Language Integration
EAC has also integrated sign language into their video lessons to support hearing-impaired students. Pilot trials have shown this to be an effective resource, making a significant impact on the education of hearing-impaired children, who represent a notable portion of the student population.
